The people that are working in our centre experienced an disruptive episode in their lives themselves. This and the special education they have had, results in a different approach and way of supporting the people who visit our centre.
Our core values are:
- Seek connection with the qualities of the other;
- Focus on meaning of life and personal perspective;
- Use your own disruptive experience;
- How the other feel supported is the most important thing;
- Create experimental space.
We focus on the positive things, the qualities and talents of the people, the things that make them feel better. We give them hope. This in contrary with the common psychological care, who focusses on the things people don’t like about themselves, their problems, disease, vulnerability.
The disease or vulnerability make people feel weak. As if they are not good enough. By finding their own qualities and talents, people feel empowered en they feel that they have their self-direction back.
We say that each human being is a brilliant with 1001 sides. The side we see is part of a whole, greater picture from which we cannot see each side. We try to explore as many sides as possible, without judgement.
People don’t need to get better, THEY ALREADY ARE FANTASTIC!!!
